10 Things To Do Before Summer Ends
Let's count the ways to prepare for colder weather
1. Paint or stain outdoor structures and furniture. Clean and dress up your wood (or metal) pieces that are exposed to the elements. Decks, fences, sheds, patio furniture ... if you put a fresh coat of coverage on these items they'll better stand up to the rough hand of winter. Make a visual inspection. Replace damaged wood on fences, decks and other structures. Be sure to prep surfaces properly, following manufacturer's application instructions for stain and paint.
